Our Story: Why Pride Riot Exists

Pride Riot was founded in 2025 in Arizona as a direct response to rainbow-washed capitalism and the erasure of authentic queer voices in mainstream fashion. We're not here to sell you watered-down Pride merch that disappears after June. We're here to create activist fashion that amplifies your voice 365 days a year.

This brand was born out of rebellion—and love. Rebellion against brands that cash in on Pride Month and go silent the rest of the year. Rebellion against being told we're "too much." Too loud. Too queer. Too angry. Too soft. And love—for every person who's ever felt like they had to earn their right to exist.

Meet the Founder: Jason Bryant

Jason Bryant is the founder and creative director of Pride Riot. As a queer, neurodivergent entrepreneur, Jason built this brand for everyone who's ever been told they don't fit the mold.

"I didn't start Pride Riot because I wanted to sell shirts. I started it because I was tired of shrinking. Tired of being told to tone it down, blend in, be palatable, be marketable, be quiet. And I knew I wasn't the only one.

Pride Riot was born out of rebellion—and love. Rebellion against rainbow-washed capitalism that cashes in on Pride Month and goes silent the rest of the year. Rebellion against being told we're 'too much.' Too loud. Too queer. Too angry. Too soft. And love—for every person who's ever felt like they had to earn their right to exist.

This brand is queer-owned. Neurodivergent-run. Fueled by stories, not trends. And built for the ones who never saw themselves in the aisles of Target in June.
